Elderberry Leaves
An effective way to stop dandruff is by making a solution from elderberry leaves and applying it to your scalp after washing it normally.
Cabbage Juice
Cabbage juice can also be used to treat dandruff. Fresh juice is best so you should use it right away, but you can make enough for a few applications and keep it in the refrigerator.
Sage and Rosemary Leaves
Sage and Rosemary are great for getting rid of dandruff that is caused by a fungal infection. You can make a tea with sage and rosemary leaves much the same way as with elderberry leaves:
Thyme Tea
Thyme tea will soothe your scalp and get rid of dandruff, as well as relieving any itchiness. Preparation and application is similar to the elderberry treatment.
Vinegar for Dandruff
Vinegar is a great natural treatment for dandruff because of its antibacterial and anti- fungal properties. It is also readily available. You can apply it to your scalp either by soaking cotton balls in it and dabbing it onto your scalp or by applying vinegar after washing your hair.
Vinegar is a good for killing the bacteria and fungus that have infected your scalp as a result of high sebum (oil) production. After getting rid of the infection, however, it is necessary to take steps to return your scalp to the proper conditions so the fungus or bacteria don’t return. Maintaining a proper diet as explained in diets that stop dandruff will help keep you dandruff free. Remaining hydrated and avoiding stress may also help prevent dandruff.
